The Eye was found at 10:08am, September 10th, 2023.
The Eye was located on the west-facing side of Mt. Hebo, about 300ft off the Pioneer Indian Trailhead.
Clue 9:
The Giraffe kneels, and the game strays, 100 steps if you count them right. Up through the Emerald Explosion to the slightly lonelier bush under which I hide.

The Pioneer Indian Trailhead can be accessed from either Hebo Lake Campground or the South Lake area.

Mt. Hebo is currently one of the only locations you can find the endangered Silverspot butterfly. These are currently being studied and monitored by researchers from Pacific University– if you see officials wandering around catching butterflies on Mt. Hebo, they’re probably looking for these critters to mark them. This is a good reason also to be very careful if you are visiting wild meadows – they are delicate ecosystems and damage easily.
